Problem Statement
A client approached us about managing their technology and operations. Their computers and servers were outdated using equipment & technologies from 2017. Their firewall had no licensing, and employees were using Remote Desktop(RDP) without a virtual private network (VPN) for remote access. None of the company files or images were protected with a backup solution.
Current Mode Of Operation

- Mix of Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro
- Fortinet firewall
- Poweredge T130 Server
- Poweredge T30 server
- TP Link 48 port switch
Implementation Plan:
Our first action replaced the TP Link switch with a Unifi 48 port switch and we replace the firewall with a Cisco Meraki. Once complete, we installed anti-virus on all PCs and servers. We also executed an email migration from their former provider. To address file recovery, we installed a Datto Cloud backup.
